The Engineering Professional Development Study (PDS) offers Engineering students the unique opportunity to explore technical careers at Walt Disney World® Resort. Disney Engineering professionals share real-world experiences in areas such as Textile Services, Ride and Show Engineering, and Central Shops.  This seminar is only available to Engineering majors.

This seminar is two hours a week for eight weeks.

In order to successfully complete this series, you will need to attend all eight sessions within the series.

 

 
  • Walt Disney World Resort Engineering Services Overview and Facilities and Asset Management Overview.  T

  • Textile Services. 

  • EnginEARing Attractions.  

  • Central Shops Overview.  

  • Tour of World Showcase at Epcot© with an Imagineer.  

  • Industrial Engineering.

Your work schedule will be adjusted to allow you two hours of travel time before and after the course.  It’s possible that you will be scheduled to work on the same day that you have class. 

If you have a conflict, it’s possible to attend another section that is offered in a different day of the week with the permission of your instructor. 

By registering for this course, your work schedule will be capped at 45 hours per week to provide you sufficient time for your work schedule, course work, and social activities.
