Disney Heritage:1955-1982

What students will learn in this course:    
Explore the evolution of Walt’s dream – the theme park! Join us as we go behind the scenes to discover how Walt’s earlier successes led to Disneyland, the Magic Kingdom and Epcot.   This series meets for 4 weeks, meeting once per week for two hours per session.  Please note that in order to successfully complete this course, you will need to attend every session.
 
  • Week 1: Opening of Disneyland, Disneyland’s early milestones and the 1964 World’s Fair
  • Week 2: Florida Project Phase 1: Magic Kingdom Field Experience
  • Week 3: Florida Project Phase 2: The Epcot Story
  • Week 4: From then  until now – Continued Expansion
