Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's)   Rev 5/14/2021

Q: I wasn't able to register for the class but I'd still like to attend.  Would I be able to attend as a walk-in if I have the time off?
A: Yes! If you are not enrolled in an offering and would like to attend, please arrive 15 minutes before the start time and you MAY be admitted as a walk-in. This will be on a first come first served basis if space is available.
Q: Is there a penalty if I no-show to a class?  I know I have 48 hours before it starts to cancel, but what if I don't cancel and then I can't attend?
A: If you can no longer commit to attending an offering, it is your responsibility to drop yourself from the offering in within 48 hours of the offering. If you fail to cancel your enrollment within this time period, and fail to show to the offering, you risk being blocked from attending any future program offerings or events.
Q: The Entertainment Show Production PDS is not listed for enrollment this term.  Did it go away?
A: We are excited to have this very popular major-specific offering within invitation-only Career Insights suite of offerings. Participants who meet the major requirement for this offering will receive an invitation to participate in a lottery-style registration for this course.
Q: Am I required to participate in any of these Disney educational offerings?
A:  At the Walt Disney World® Resort, Disney College Program participants are not required to participate in any of our educational offerings – unless their home university or sponsor university requires that they do so.
Q: My university has given me a plan of study that included one or more Disney collegiate courses. What do I do now to earn credit?
A: We recommend speaking with your academic advisor as soon as possible.  Your academic advisor may be able to help you come up with an alternative plan for you to earn credit through your home institution.  The Disney Internships & Programs Team has designed some potential opportunities for your institution could use to provide you credit during your program.  For more information, please click here.
Q:Will I be given time off to attend the classes I register for?
A: To be guaranteed time off from work to attend an offering, you MUST register four weeks prior to the date of the offering. If you register after that date, you may still register for the offering and attend, but it will be your responsibility to communicate with your work location and request time off.  If you are a Cultural Representative, Operating Participant, or Professional Intern we are unable to guarantee time off to attend offerings.  Please discuss your interest in participation with your local leader for assistance with time off to attend.
Q: Where and how do I register?
A: A link will be provided to the registration site at a later time, along with directions for registration.  Please check your email regularly for updates.
Q: How much do I have to pay to participate in the Disney courses?
A: All of our offerings are free and are included in your Program Participant Fees.
Q: How many offerings can I register for?
A:  You may be registered for no more than two offerings within a week.  This includes any combination of Exploring Disney, Career Connection, and Independent Study Hall offerings.  You are able to register for multiple offerings throughout your program provided that you do not exceed the two offerings per week cap.
Q: Why are collegiate classes no longer being offered?
A: With the onboarding of the new learning offerings of Exploring Disney and Career Connection, collegiate offerings are being retired.
