Which course is right for you?
What makes the Disney College and International Programs more than just an internship is your ability to participate in a variety of “uniquely Disney” educational offerings that fit your academic or professional career goals. The learning component of the program is designed to give you the ability to choose what is right for you, and to get the most out of your program. Below are some links with important information to help you figure out what courses and offerings are right for you, how to preparation for registration, and your commitment to your classes during your program.
Disney Exploration Seminar Series
Offered at Florida site. The Disney Exploration Series offers students the unique opportunity to learn more about how the Walt Disney World® Resort operates in key areas. Please note that in order to successfully complete this course, you will need to attend all four classes within the series.
Disney Professional Development Studies
Offered at Florida site. The Professional Development Studies allow students to study a specific line of business within the Walt Disney World® Resort. Each of these studies are major-specific and are only offered to those majors listed in the description. Each of these programs consists of eight sessions, meeting once per week for two to three hours in length.
Offered at Florida site. Each of the collegiate courses, which are recommended for college credit by the American Council on Education, are focused around an area of expertise within The Walt Disney Company and contains levels of academic rigor not uncommon to the classes you take at your own college or university. Participants who wish to register for a collegiate offering will need to be receiving academic credit or be required to take a collegiate offering in order to be eligible. Those interested in taking a collegiate course for their own development will need to request an exception during the registration process.
Offered at Florida site. Distance Learning provides participants who are taking online classes with a college or university a dedicated time blocked each week to focus on their studies. You will be required to supply documentation of the course during the registration process in to obtain this scheduled block of time on your work schedule.
Offered at California site. Each of the collegiate courses, which are recommended for college credit by the American Council on Education, are focused around an area of expertise within The Walt Disney Company and contains levels of academic rigor not uncommon to the classes you take at your own college or university. Participants will have required textbooks to read, papers to write and special projects to complete. The difference is that participants will be able to apply this knowledge immediately at their work location.
Offered at California site. The Seminar courses are designed to share Disney-specific information with the students about the overview of our Lines of Business and to offer networking opportunities with Disney Executives and Leaders. Each of these series consists of ten sessions, meeting once per week for three hours in length, over the course of the 11-week term.
